If it isn’t, no other questions need to be asked because it isn’t an option. You can save yourself a lot of time by getting the answer to this question first. It is very disappointing to do a lot of planning with a wedding venue only to discover later the date isn’t open.

Are There Separate Bride and Groom Suites?
This is an important question to ask. That is especially true if most of the getting ready will be done at the wedding venue. Even if you arrive mostly ready, you probably would like a place to freshen up and check your makeup one last time before you walk down the aisle. You need a special space if you want to talk with your mom right before your wedding begins. It is also okay to ask to see the bride and groom suites.

What Rules Should We Know about?
Wedding venues usually have rules and that is perfectly understandable. But it is best that you know them so that you can follow them. What is the Maximum Capacity?
You do not want to rent a wedding venue for your 300 guests when the maximum capacity is only 225. Therefore, this is a vital question. Make sure that you have room for all of your guests. Not only does it prevent overcrowding and parking issues but you don’t run the risk of creating an unsafe situation. It is best to know if the wedding venue you are considering can accommodate your guests.

When Can I Access the Venue to Set up?
You want to know how much set up time you have. If you feel like you will need a full 24 hours, an 8 hour window will not work for you. This is not a question that you want to neglect asking. For example, will you need to provide your own chairs or are they provided for you? Does the wedding venue provide linens for your reception? These are the sorts of things you need to know. There may be something that they provide that you wouldn’t have thought they would. This can be a big money saver for you.
