Kelly Faetanini - Feathers

Kelly Faetanini - Feathers When it comes to colorful wedding dresses, this purple ombre gown by Kelly Faetanini really takes the cake! There is so much to love about this dress. For starters, the fit to flare cut of the gown is flattering on nearly every figure. The satin and feather paring is a perfect way to get different textures without going overboard. And lastly, can we talk about the gorgeous purple ombre effect? Wow, just wow! This is a great and subtle way to make a statement about wearing a colorful wedding dress.

Yumi Katsura - AK10306YE

Yumi Katsura - AK10306YE There is nothing subtle about this orange Yumi Katsura wedding gown. Katsura is known for their larger than life dresses and this one is no exception. I love the intricate detailing on the bodice of the gown and the way the gown tiers down in the front like waves on the ocean. Perhaps my favorite aspect of this dress is that Katsura made every single detail of the gown the exact same color for one jaw-dropping monochromatic statement.

Claire Pettibone - Olivia

Claire Pettibone - Olivia This red rose and olive embroidered gown is from Claire Pettibone's "An Earthly Paradise" collection. The entire showcase was gorgeous with dresses that were gorgeous front to back, but the Olivia dress stood out among the rest. This dress is a great way to incorporate color without going all out. My favorite part of this dress is the way the olive colored sleeves are made to resemble vines.

Vera Wang - Joelle

Vera Wang - Joelle While some might think it's taboo to wear black to their wedding, I personally love the idea. Vera Wang is known for her over-the-top wedding gowns and this is one of my favorites. There is something so enchanting about this dress! The bodice is simple, yet sexy. The boning of the corset is revealed to provide just the right amount of raciness to the gown. The simpleness of the bodice is offsets by the black and nude split skirt. The distress tulle is made to bounce and sweep as you're walking down the aisle.

Impression - 10187

Impression - 10187 This dreamy tulle and taffeta dress comes in a gorgeous, subtle sky color for a whimsical look. I love the sweetheart neckline and jeweled bodice. The handkerchief hem layered skirt with horsehair trim and chapel train will make you feel like a princess on your wedding day. I love the corset back of this gown as well. I love how this dress has all the traditional aspects of a wedding gown but is offset by the lovely soft sky hue.

Love is like a friendship caught on fire. In the beginning a flame, very pretty, often hot and fierce, but still only light and flickering. As love grows older, our hearts mature and our love becomes as coals, deep-burning and unquenchable.

Atelier Aimée - Pink & Cream

Atelier Aimée - Pink & Cream This dress by Atelier Aimée fades from pink to cream just like a blossoming rose does. If you are a fan of the pastel trend, then this colorful wedding dress might just be one of your favorites. I love the tulle sash around the waist that's accented with pretty pink flowers. The dress is free from embellishments to make the fading colors the star of this gown. The texture on the skirt of the gown is incredible. This is one of my favorite colorful wedding dresses of the season.

Vera Wang for David's Bridal - VW351112

Vera Wang for David's Bridal - VW351112 This blush colored wedding dress is a strapless gown with a satin corset bodice with draped tulle overlay and a full tulle skirt. You will be pretty in pink in this soft ball gown by Vera Wang for David's Bridal. This gown features asymmetrical peplum with organza petals that are absolutely delightful. This dress is 1950s couture with a modern vibe.

Celebrities such as Jessica Biel have made colorful wedding dresses a hot trend. There are several to choose from but these 7 are among my favorites. Would you wear a colorful wedding dress on your big day or do you prefer traditional white?

I love the first one with the trumpet fit, feathers and ombré because its so chic for my future Paris wedding but I do feel it is super trendy and that could be like a bad 80s wedding photo when I look back on my wedding pictures years after
